About Ann Taylor

Ann originally trained in Western Medicine and worked as a staff nurse on a High Dependency Unit in London, and then as a midwife at the Ipswich hospital. It was her experience of acupuncture during her first pregnancy, when it helped to relieve severe morning sickness, that initiated Ann's interest in this complementary medicine.

Whilst bringing up her family, further study at the London School of Traditional Acupuncture (LCTA) led to a Licentiate Diploma and BSc(Hons) in acupuncture in  March 2007. The high level of training and rigorous standards of the course enabled her to become a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) . The BAcC is the leading self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture in the UK and accredited by the Professional Standards Authority .

Ann now works exclusively as an acupuncturist, but as an Associate Member of the Royal College of Midwives  has retained a special interest in obstetric (pregnancy, childbirth, post-natal ) acupuncture. She has undergone advanced post-graduate training in these areas and is currently the membership secretary of the newly formed Acupuncture Childbirth Team (East Anglia) and member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network.

Ann also enjoys a busy general practice,  as well as working with the locally based charity 'Caring for Me'. This charity  supports people coping with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer through offering free complementary health treatments.

Ann is passionate about providing the best possible care for her clients and regularly attends seminars and conferences to enhance her understanding and treatment of a wide range of conditions .

In 2008 Ann won an award in the Best of Ipswich Business Awards as a result of client recommendations for her care and level of service.
