Ann originally trained as a nurse and midwife and is an Associate Member of the Royal College of Midwives (non-practicing),  She has a degree in acupuncture awarded by Portsmouth University and a Licentiate from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Ann regularly attends seminars and workshops and keeps up to date with the latest ideas and research in the use of acupuncture.. 

Ann lives in Ipswich and has three teenage children.
